My name’s Andrew Carter. I’m a writer and media producer with a passion for food and ecology. And a whole lot of other things too.

eat less world is my blog about food, sustainability and farming as well as related issues like energy, community, health, conservation, identity, ethics, culture, spirituality, communication and education.

I am currently co-producing an environmental issues radio show called Earth Matters. More about my radio work here.

I try to embed my life and writing in ecology. Not respecting the basic ecological limits of this very finite world we walk upon, as our industrial civilisation does, is a recipe for disaster. And more importantly, ecology teaches us how to proceed.

I’m also into DIY approaches to sustainability like permaculture. In 2008 I will be studying permaculture in Byron Bay, NSW at the Permaforest Trust.
